About Us
About Us
Jolly Tots Pre-School is a sessional service operating between the hours of 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, Monday to Friday. It provides care and education for children between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 5 years.
All staff are qualified, First Aid trained and fully Garda vetted. The staff to child ratio is 1 to 11 as per government guidelines. We are located in a well equipped, purpose built facility with indoor and outdoor play areas.
Having come from a Primary School training background followed by a 2 year course in Pre-School and early education, from the outset I devised an education based curriculum in 1993, which has been modified over the years to include:
Pre-Reading/Writing/Arithmetic
Formal letters and numbers
Art and famous Artists
Drama
Science and Nature
Irish and French
Environmental and Health Awareness
Geography
Songs and Rhymes
Movement to Music
Exercise
All learning is done through fun and active participation and at no stage is there any pressure put on the child.
